Nanasaheb Ponkshe

Nanasaheb Ponkshe was experienced cameraman/technician in Marathi and Hindi cinema. Started as an assistant to cinematographer in early 1930s, he worked in films for nearly five decades till mid-1970s. During this prolific career, he has seen important technological changes in styles of cinematography working with major studios and well-known filmmakers. Ponkshe worked on films like Master Vinayak’s Brandichi Batli (1939) and Bharat Vyas’s Rangila Rajasthan (1949).
