Dada Salvi

Dinkar Salvi, popularly known as Dada Salvi was familiar character artist of Marathi cinema. He also worked in a few Hindi/Urdu films. He was born in Ratnagiri district in December 1904.
Salvi was one of the few actors In Indian cinema who worked in both silent as well as talkie films. He formed noted collaboration with Master Vinayak with films like Premveer (1937), Brahmachari (1938), Brandichi Batli (1939), Amrit (1941). His antagonistic characters became particularly popular.
