Zunzharrao Pawar
Born on June 13th 1892, Zunzharrao Pawar was noted actor in early days of Indian cinema. Pawar debuted on-screen with playing the role of Kichaka in Baburao Painter’s Sairandhri (1920), a film based on an episode from the Mahabharat. Working in more than 50 films in his prolific career, he associated with prominent personalities like Baburao Painter, Damle, Fattelal, V. Shantaram and Bhalji Pendharkar. Some of his important films include Sinhagad (1923), Savkari Pash (1925), Maharathi Karna (1928) and Tambdi Mati (1969). This interview was conducted in 1978 while Zunzharrao Pawar was 86.
