M. K. Radha

Born in 1910, M.K. Radha was one of the prominent names in Tamil cinema and theatre. Being a son of popular theatre personality and drama teacher Kandasamy Mudaliar, he started performing in theatre at a very early age as a child. M. K. Radha debuted on-screen with Sathi Leelavathi (1936), and went on to work in noted films like Maya Machhindra (1939), Chandralekha (1948) and Uthama Puthiran (1958). He was also honoured with Padma Shri Award for his contribution to performing arts.

Madabhushi Rangadorai, fondly known as Randor Guy is a well-known author, columnist and film historian, and also a lawyer by profession. He has written books like “Memories of Madras: Its Movies, Musicians & Men of Letters”, “A History of Tamil Cinema”, “Starlight, Starbright: The Early Tamil Cinema”. Guy has also written fiction novels like “Chaya” and “Kasi”.
