K. S. Prakash Rao:

Born in 1914, Kovelamudi Surya Prakash Rao was well-known director-producer from the south Indian cinema. Initially, he acted in few films in the 40s, before turning out to be a successful filmmaker. Rao made popular films with renowned stars like ANR, NTR, Saroja Devi and Savitri. He was honoured with the prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Award in 1995.

Noted filmmaker K. Raghavendra Rao is his son.
