Nilu Phule

Legendary personality in Indian cinema Nilu Phule was born on 16th May 1930. Mostly remembered for his iconic work in Marathi films & theatre, Nilu Phule also worked in Hindi cinema. His antagonistic characters are especially iconic, owing to his distinct voice and dialogue delivery. He started his career with Marathi folk performances ‘Loknatya’. Vijay Tendulkar’s Sakharam Binder (1972) was his one of the most popular theatrical works.

Some of his memorable films include Pinjra (1972), Samna (1975), Sinhasan (1980), Mashaal (1984), and Saaransh (1984).
