M. Masthan

Masthan was a well-known cinematographer, director in Tamil cinema. He started as a still photographer and went on to become an ace cinematographer. Masthan worked with leading filmmakers of his era like Raja Chandrashekhar, B.N.Reddy, A. Ramanath, A.S.A. Sami and many others. Interestingly, he also worked for few Sri Lankan films.

Madabhushi Rangadorai, fondly known as Randor Guy is a well-known author, columnist and film historian, and also a lawyer by profession. He has written books like “Memories of Madras: Its Movies, Musicians & Men of Letters”, “A History of Tamil Cinema”, “Starlight, Starbright: The Early Tamil Cinema”. Guy has also written fiction novels like “Chaya” and “Kasi”.
